Wishing everyone a fun and peaceful 2007.
The songwriting retreat in Italy was amazing; hanging out with a great group of songwriters from UK and USA in a 14th century, beautifully restored farmhouse on top of a hill in Umbria with a big recording studio, swimming pool and lots of home grown olive oil and cuddly kittens.
I’m now back in Sydney after some more time in London, and planning on recording a few new songs for the album which were co-written in Italy. One I wrote with the naughty Glaswegian, Oreste Gargaro and Chris Difford (Squeeze) and it has been included on Chris’s fundraising album for a UK hospice Another two were written with Adam Levy and Steve Hillier.
Meanwhile we’re also recording more drums and bass for some existing recordings and getting my first album together. Wow. Finally. Good things take time, like fine wine. Am I allowed to say that as a non-drinker?
Gigs and festivals to be announced…watch this space!
